Inter is performing at the highest possible levels, overcoming each opponent in their path as they look to secure the club’s 20th Scudetto title and earn a second star on their kit.

Many clubs around Europe have taken note of Inter’s dominance this season and have begun to look at the man in charge, Simone Inzaghi. After a difficult time in Serie A last season, finishing with 12 losses, Inzaghi won the fans over by guiding Inter to the UEFA Champions League final for the first time since the iconic 2010 season where the club completed the treble: winning Serie A, the Coppa Italia and finally, the Champions League. Despite a narrow 1-0 loss to the latest treble-winning side, Manchester City, Inter fans were proud of the team and their performance.

This season, Simone Inzaghi and Inter are performing with fire in their belly. Currently 12 points clear of second-placed Juventus and 1-0 up on aggregate against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League round of 16, Inter are looking to better last season’s results.

Several clubs in the Premier League and across Europe’s top leagues have shown interest in Simone Inzaghi, as a coaching domino effect is set to take place in the summer. This is according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport as relayed by FCInterNews, who claim that Chelsea and Manchester United in particular are interested in Inter’s manager.

The newspaper continues to report that despite this interest, Inter and Simone Inzaghi want to start a cycle together. The 47-year-old has a contract expiring in 2025, but Inter is set to open talks to extend this deal until 2027 and give Inzaghi a major pay increase- Inzaghi currently earns €5.5M/yr.
