According to new reports, Inter has re-kindled their interest in 2006-born Swedish midfielder, Lucas Bergvall.
Amid competition from European clubs such as FC Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter is still in the race for one of Sweden’s highest-rated youngsters. The Nerazzurri’s interest was first reported in November of 2023 by Italian journalist, Matteo Moretto. Moretto claimed that Inter was following the midfielder with great interest for the future- partially because Bergvall has a contract expiring in 2025 with Swedish top-flight club, Djurgårdens IF.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has reported in the past that FC Barcelona is the club most interested and ahead in the race to land the midfield prospect. The most recent update came on January 22, explaining that Barcelona was “advancing” on a deal and that a new round of talks had been planned in the next few days which will be key- with FC Barcelona being claimed to be Bergvall’s favoured destination.
Today, a new report from SkySport Italy transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Inter is planning for the future and has requested new information on Lucas Bergvall- but reiterated the fact that many top clubs are following the player, with FC Barcelona in particular ahead in the race.
