Inter’s 21-year old midfielder has made a decision on his future, after some late-night drama. Lucien Agoumé will sign for La Liga side Sevilla on loan with the option to buy.

Late Thursday night, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Olympique Marseille were ‘advancing’ on the deal and close to getting it done. Other sources, such as Italian journalist, Matteo Moretto, and French journalist, Santi Aouna, reported that Marseille were rapidly advancing and wanted to close the deal in the next hours. Despite these reports, no deal was done yet.

Italian journalist Luca Bendoni, part of the Gianluca Di Marzio team, stood strong and reported that even with a strong attempt from Marseille, Agoumé was one step away from joining Sevilla. This turned out to be correct, as overnight, Fabrizio Romano reported that Marseille had left negotiations for Agoumé after the midfielder was unsure of his playing time, leaving Sevilla in pole position.

Lucien Agoumé is set to join Sevilla on an initial 6-month loan with the option to buy, worth around €8M and has already left for Spain. Inter will retain a buy-back clause in the event that the option to buy is triggered.

How do you see this move for Agoumé? Is Sevilla the right choice- would Marseille have been better?
