Carlos Augusto and Marko Arnautović have been out of action recently through injury, and a new report today has shed some light on when the fullback and forward could return to the pitch.

Carlos Augusto was substituted off at half-time during Inter’s 1-0 win over Bologna on March 8, and it was later determined that the Brazilian had suffered a strain in his right calf. Early predictions claimed that Augusto could return to face Napoli, but a report today from FCInter1908 has revealed that the 25-year-old has not yet returned to group training and therefore a call-up for Napoli is very unlikely. Rather, his return is expected after the international break for Inter’s match against Empoli on April 1st.

Marko Arnautović too suffered an injury during Inter’s match against Bologna. Simone Inzaghi’s side were forced to play out the final seconds of the win down a man, as the Austrian could not continue after being brought on as a substitute. Following medical examinations, it was determined that the veteran forward had suffered a strain in his right thigh. Similarly to Carlos Augusto, FCInter1908 has reported that Arnautović has not returned to group training either and is expected to be back between Inter’s matches against Empoli on April 1 and Udinese on April 7.
