Joshua Zirkzee has been performing admirably for Bologna in their quest for European football this season and has attracted interest from many top clubs, including Inter.

Playing for various Dutch clubs in the Netherlands as a child before being picked by German giants Bayern Munich, Zirkzee made his way up the ranks and youth teams with Bayern, followed by a series of loans to find regular first-team minutes. After a strong loan spell in Belgium with Anderlecht, Zirkzee landed in Italy at Bologna in 2022. Having a weak first season, the 22-year-old has blown his debut season out of the water and has already notched 10 league goals with four assists in the league, and an additional goal and two assists in the Coppa Italia, knocking Inter out in the process.

Bologna has caught the eyes of many this season as Thiago Motta’s side is the latest fairytale story and finds itself on the cusp of Champions League football for the 2024-2025 season. Joshua Zirkzee has been a major contributor to their success and has attracted the interest of many top European clubs.

As reported by SkySport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Inter is one of many clubs “keen” on the Dutch forward for a potential summer move.

It is said that AC Milan and Juventus are also interested, with Milan in particular being heavily linked previously. According to Plettenberg’s report, Bologna values Zirkzee between €35-40M. Bayern holds a significant sell-on clause and this could drastically lower the price in the event of a potential transfer, but a return is “not hot” at the moment.
