According to reports, Inter officials met with the agent of Lazio and Italy forward, Ciro Immobile, while the club was in Spain for the Champions League round of 16 match against Atlético Madrid.

Recently, Inter has decided to plan to sign a “high-level” forward during the summer transfer window to support Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram. Among several different names, the latest is Ciro Immobile.

Italian outlet, TuttoSport, claims that the Nerazzurri met with the agent of the veteran striker while in Madrid for Champions League duties. Simone Inzaghi managed Immobile during his time at Lazio, and would reportedly be very interested in bringing the star to Inter.

The only obstacle, as Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport has outlined, would be the salary. Ciro Immobile currently earns nearly €5M/yr, a figure that Inter would be reluctant to invest in on a back-up striker, not to mention Immobile currently has a contract until 2026 at Lazio.
