Inter will face Bologna in the Coppa Italia Round of 16, official and confirmed. This comes after Bologna overcame Hellas Verona in a 2-0 victory on Tuesday, October 31. Goals came from Croatian midfielder Nikola Moro in the 41st minute and forward Sydney van Hooijdonk in the 62nd. Additionally, former Inter youth midfielder Giovanni Fabbian saw his first competitive start for I Rossoblù since joining on a permanent deal (buy-back clause included!) in the summer of 2023, putting in a strong, complete 90-minute performance.
Reminder that Inter is the current holder of the Coppa Italia, following a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the 2022-2023 Final. Coincidentally, Fiorentina accompany Inter on the left side of the 2023-2024 Coppa Italia bracket, along with fellow Serie A clubs AC Milan and Atalanta, whose opponents are both yet to be decided.
