Two Inter youth talents, Franco Carboni and Eddie Salcedo, are set to join new clubs this January.

Franco Carboni, older brother of Valentín, has not been able to find much space during his loan spell at Monza. The 20-year-old left-back has made only 4 appearances with Monza since joining in January of 2023- despite the Biancorossi having an option to buy upon the expiration of the loan spell. Carboni was one of Inter Primavera’s standout players before departing on loan and has not had much luck since, spending just 6-months on loan at Cagliari before joining Monza, being recalled from Cagliari on January 23, 2023, and signing for Monza the following day.

Carboni is now set to join Serie B outfit Ternana on loan for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season, hoping to find more playing time, with the goal to remain with the Inter first team in the future.

After an initial loan spell, joining Inter’s Primavera squad from Genoa, Inter took up their €8M option-to-buy on a 17-year-old Eddie Salcedo in 2019. Salcedo scored 12 goals and registered 3 assists in the Primavera 1 league during the 18/19 season. Since then, the Italian forward has become another member of Inter’s ‘loan army’, being loaned out each season to clubs across Serie A and Serie B including Hellas Verona, Bari, Spezia, back to Genoa and most recently, Eldense in La Liga 2.

Despite making 13 appearances so far this season with Eldense, scoring 2 goals and registering 1 assist, the 22-year-old attacker is now expected to join Serie B side Lecco on loan for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.
