Inter have deemed 18-year-old rising star Valentin Carboni as an untouchable asset heading into the closing stages of the winter transfer window.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Fiorentina have presented an offer of 20m to the Nerazzurri for the Argentinian prospect as a result of the recent sales of Josip Brekalo and Hajduk Spalato.

However, coach Simone Inzaghi’s side have quickly turned down the offer as they view Carboni as a superb talent, who may serve to be pivotal in the long-term project.

During his loan spell with Monza this season, Carboni has amassed two goals and two assists in 15 games-played in the Serie A for the Biancorossi thus far, proving to possess a great deal of potential to flourish into a top talent.
